What do you mean by “foreign”? Do you mean not Turkish? Because I’d put money down that the sign was written by a Turk. Makro is not Turkish-owned though, is it? It’s an international chain, and I’m pretty sure it’s based in Amsterdam. But of course all the localisation stuff will have been done, well, locally. I promise you no Dutchman wrote that sign.
And by the way…isn’t there some company there that can hire you just because you’re a native English speaker? There seems to be a high demand for translations that make sense!
