
She hated me at first but I won her over. There’s not a dog on this planet that I can’t win over. Or cat, for that matter, but cats often take longer.

Seriously, such beautiful, dark autumn days are just about my favourite thing in the world.

I remember when I used to take these shots all the time. I’ve kind of drifted away from object study and I should do something about that.

When I came across this it was all arranged exactly in this way. I didn’t move a thing.

A friend of mine pointed out this very insightful blog post featuring vintage photos of people along with their handwritten, self-deprecating comments. We like to think that body hatred was invented five minutes ago and that people in the good ol’ days knew how to appreciate a woman with curves, but given some of the women in these photos who describe themselves disparagingly as “fat,” I think things are actually getting better these days in terms of body acceptance. I hope these morning cloud posts aren’t getting old— I can’t get enough of how beautiful the sky is this time of year.

And things are starting to get very pink, if you get up early enough, which I do.
