I’ve spent a lot of time this week in introspection. It’s a good time of year for it.

We have had some ridiculously intense storms this week— wind, rain, sleet, hail, and snow. I’ve spent quite a lot of time staring at the windows, just hoping that they’ll hold. So far, so good.

Anyone for skiing? I’m not a fan myself but I’ll play in the snow while I wait.

Who says there aren’t any winter flowers?

The most gorgeous weather in Antalya happens between December and March. Bar none.

There’s something magical about holiday decorations.

Two mornings ago we had snow in Antalya— not just in the mountains, but a dusting here in the city, too. We had a snow day in 2008, as well. It’s pouring rain right now, and if the temperature keeps plunging, we might even be getting some more snow tonight. If it sticks even for a short while in the morning, I’ll be sure to get out there and document it.

Antalya’s favourite shopping mall gets festive for the holidays.

I love getting the tree decorated.

The sun stays at a lower angle these days, skipping stones of light across the Mediterranean.
