Hürriyet recently published the story of a man who found himself showing up at his own funeral, after a case of mistaken identity caused his family to think he was dead. This is one of those stories that’s both sad and funny at the same time. Thanks to Dania for the link. Link

I live very close to the beach, and yet I think this may be the first time I’ve touched sea water in about five years. I’m just not a beach kind of girl, though I’ll admit I tolerate it better in the winter than in the summer.

Sometimes I’m just in the right place at the right time.

I’ve started paying more attention to birds since coming to Turkey, because there’s a greater seasonal variation here than other places. I think this might be a sparrow but I still think he’s way cool.

I’m discovering I kind of like being at the beach when it’s cold outside and there’s nobody there. I’m still not a huge fan of sand, though.

It has been so dark and rainy and lovely here this week. Cue the fairy lights and hot chocolate.

Really, what else could you ask for?

Kempinski Hotel The Dome, Belek.

Tea and an apple tart— always a good choice.

Especially when this is the view.

I like the way this shot came out and it was worth the extra amount of time I had to spend waiting there for the right moments.
