I’ve had an absolutely fantastic birthday.

February is cold, even on the Turkish Riviera.

Believe it or not, this is straight out of the camera, no editing. This is how gorgeous February is here.

Thus begins my birthday week. If it’s anything like previous years, it will continue not only through my birthday itself, but well into spring.

The cat and I were feeling particularly artsy this morning, so we agreed to do a collaborative work.

I love the combination of colours, the cool sea with the warm brown foliage everywhere.

Park cleanup seems like a pretty good job, actually. Look where you get to take your break!

How they get those flowers to bloom in February, I’ll never know. We’ve had sub-zero temperatures at night and those tiny little flowers seem so delicate.

The way the light is so subtle and yet so clarifying… February is my favourite month for so many reasons.

It has been really, really cold and windy the past couple of days, but today is a clear, sunny, and still day. The stray dogs must have been frozen last night, but they’re thawing out this morning.
