People in Turkey have a lot of team loyalty. A lot.
I wonder what their downstairs neighbours think. Personally, I’d love it if my upstairs neighbours put something like that up in the summer— I’m not the least bit interested in professional sports, but I think it would be wonderfully effective at keeping the sun off my balcony.
As someone who used to drive a car, I often wonder how many people sit in rush hour and have no appreciation of what’s going on around them. I remember many wasted hours spent sitting in traffic, being either too frustrated or too absorbed in music to notice a beautiful sunset or an interesting neighbourhood.
This may sound crazy, but when the weather gets ridiculous in July and August, one of my favourite things to do is get on a delightfully Arctic air-conditioned bus, preferably one that’s not very crowded, and just ride it around. I like choosing buses that are on a route I’m not particularly familiar with, so I can see parts of the city that are new to me while catching up with podcasts or the latest music from my favourite artists. I also like taking photos sometimes, but mostly I just enjoy the ride.
I’m not sure how long Waffle Art has had a branch in Antalya, but we went to visit it today, and it was well worth it. Anika in particular enjoyed her waffle enthusiastically.
