Sometimes it’s less about the subject and more about the colours.

Not much more you can say… if you want kilometre after kilometre of beautiful shoreline, come to the Med. You won’t be disappointed.

Finally, something other than vague haze and relentless humidity. Could this be the first sign of autumn? That’s wishful thinking, but a girl can dream. I’ll get my wish soon enough.

I have no idea why I thought turning on the oven in August would be a good idea, but I was in the mood for a baked meal and a savoury mushroom cobbler hit the spot. I have to admit, it was tasty, but it basically turned the entire house into an oven, which wasn’t terribly fun. I think I’ll wait for October to do any more baking.

In the summer, it’s best to keep breakfast simple and as cold as possible. “Mostly fruits and vegetables” is a good rule of thumb.

You and me both, puppy. It’s incredibly difficult to stay awake and alert when the weather is so hot. Better just to plan your siestas accordingly, i.e. an entire month of sleeping.
