It was storming like crazy outside, so we took sanctuary in the Frauenkirche. What a great choice. It was beautiful, serene.

When we arrived at Marienplatz, I kind of couldn’t believe how pretty it was. I thought the umbrellas only added to it.

Such a beautiful city. It’s the little things.

See you later, Ludwigsburg.

While waiting for a delayed connection in Stuttgart, this train rolled in and everyone started taking photos of it. Not wanting to be left out of something potentially monumental, I started taking my own photos. I still have no idea what’s so special about the train.

Such a wonderfully dynamic and complex town. Highly recommended.

There’s a 3.2km footpath connecting Monrepos to the Ludwigsburg town centre. It’s a gorgeous walk.

Mars and Venus show the way.

I really cannot express how beautiful the Monrepos palace is. I only stayed for about an hour but I’m planning a much longer visit next time.

More here.
I don’t really know how to explain Ludwigsburg’s pumpkin dinosaur festival, so I’ll just let the photos speak for themselves.

The rest of the set is here.
I still have some more photos from Germany to share, but I wanted to take a moment to mention something that’s going on in my local area right now.

Citrus is coming into season and the nights are drawing in. We’ve had some heavy rains over the past few days, and unfortunately the rain has led to destructive flooding all around the region. There have been at least three deaths, with at least five people still missing. My thoughts right now are with those affected by the floods and their families.

The Ludwigsburg palace is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. I can’t wait to visit again.
