For those who haven’t heard yet, I’ve been bestowed with an amazing honour – the International Museum of Women in San Francisco has chosen my self-portrait as the iconic image for their 2009 project, entitled Exhibiting You. This was a complete surprise, and to say that I’m pleased would be an understatement. They found my photo just by searching on Flickr. Hooray for Creative Commons and diligent tagging habits!
Submissions for the exhibit are open until September, so if you would like to submit a piece to be considered (it doesn’t have to be a photo, they accept all sorts of entries), be sure to check out the guidelines. I look forward to seeing how the project develops over the next few months, and I am grateful to the IMOW both for the work they do, and for recognising the work I do. Many thanks to them.
