Adventures at dawn

Aching to Pollinate

I think Antalya is most gorgeous first thing in the morning.

Snail Hang-Out

Most people sleep through it, except for me.

Green Eyes

Well, me and the urban predator.

Waiting

There are so many places where life is juxtaposed with death, beauty with blood.

Rosebud

Meanwhile I’m just trying to make my mark, like everyone else.

@Martin: 😀 I’ll see what I can do. We have so many neighbourhood cats.

These are beautiful. My fiance was embarrassed when I kept taking photos of cats when we were in Turkey… but I just loved them.

@Karen: Oh, I pick up every cat I come across… it draws a lot of attention in a country where cats are considered vermin, but I don’t care, I love them.

I hear that! Cahit was very concerned about how his country would look to our family back here in Australia if I took a million photos of cats… like it’s a bad thing. My main concern is how I will cope living in Ankara without wanting to adopt every cat I come across 🙂

@Karen: when are you moving to Ankara? I went there once and it was pretty nice.

I’m pretty much the crazy cat lady of our neighbourhood – I tend to carry crunchy kitty treats in my pockets when I go out for walks, and all the cats know that and flock to me when they see me. Then of course I have to sit down on the ground and we have a big group cuddle. The locals look at me as if I were sitting there cuddling giant turds.

Not moving to Ankara for at least a couple of years unfortunately. It’s probably a permanent move so it means sorting out a lot of financial/career/family issues from here first 🙂
