There’s a magical period in Antalya between the middle of August and the end of October. The air changes significantly from the brutal heat and humidity of July, but the days still reach temperatures in the high 20s, or some days even the low 30s (like today). It’s a completely separate season— not really true summer anymore, but definitely not autumn yet, either. Neither is it an anomaly like an Indian summer, as it happens every year.
I’ve always called this fifth season ‘late summer’, but I think it may need a better name, its own descriptive word. I’m taking suggestions.
