Daily Bazaar Treasures, #268

Do you think they meant this, or this?

sharpay

Because either one would be a fantastic theme for a high school musical.

If I am not mistaken a Sharpay is a dog, is it not. Possibly spelled sharpie like the marker though. At any rate rock rock rock and roll high school away! My high school years were not so musical even though I was in band class.

They mean it exactly as it sounds, Sharpay is the name of Ashley Tisdale’s character in High School Musical and its sequels. & that’s actually Ashley Tisdale on the shirt. They did a halfway decent job of creating non-licensed Disney clothing!

@Rachel Holy crap, this is one of those things where reality is stranger than anything I could make up. They named a character after a *dog*? At least she’s not called Shihtzu or Pomeranian, I guess.

The part I find the most surreal is that I KNEW that this was a character in High School Musical. I’ve seen the barbie doll of her. ha!

Even though it is knock off Disney wear actually done properly we can still make fun of it. It looks as if it was dyed my soaking it in red wine. OK, lame attempt. Too bad though. I think something should be said about the ear rings!

@Tank haha, no, we’re not confused about the spelling of Shar-Pei, we’re confused as to why anyone would name their child something that sounds like a cross between a dog breed and a permanent marker. 🙂
